About four years ago, God blessed my path with Abby, who, little did I know at the time, would quickly become a trusted friend and a source of great encouragement in both my profession as well as my personal life. Miss Abby is an incredible wedding and lifestyle photographer in her own right, so having her reach out after years of working alongside each other (seeing me through all of the crazy, behind the scene moments -- I even left her in my car as it rolled in neutral at one point...) is the most incredible compliment and, truly, the most wonderful gift that she and David could give me.
David and Abby's friendship runs deep. They've known each other for years, growing in companionship and, as fate would soon have it, love. I'm convinced they speak every love language. Acts of service (he jumped at the opportunity to pick her up and over muddy ground during their engagement), constant and genuine words of affirmation, gift giving (he took her on a helicopter ride over Atlanta for her birthday... which she soon found he had ulterior motives as he got down on one knee on the tip top of the W Atlanta -- she quietly had a dessert delivered one evening to celebrate David's new job one evening that they invited us to dinner), quality time that they spend travelling and with their families and kitty, and physical touch. It's totally effortless. Truly, these two have something that a lot of people don't. They show one another respect and they love one another fiercely and uninhibitedly. How blessed I am to document this part of their journey and the time leading up to their wedding this Fall!
We opted for Arabia Mountain for their session which allowed us to soak up every last moment of evening light. Enjoy some favorites from their session!
