You may remember these two from their epic engagement session -- remember their names up in lights? Athens was their stomping grounds, so they opted to have their save the date displayed on the Georgia Theatre marquee and it was AWESOME! Their day was equally as personal, full of with laughter with their (growing) families, and some pretty solid dance moves, all accented by rose quartz and gold touches throughout. The Blue Ridge in the background wasn't so bad, either... 😍
I snagged a few words from Courtney + Patrick about their day:
What was your inspiration behind the day?
"Patrick and I love the outdoors and spending time in nature so we wanted to play a major part. We also wanted atmosphere to be very laid back and not fussy, as we wanted people to dance to the band after eating fried chicken. Jessie did a great job with the decor to reflect this, and gave the room a very rustic feel without the use of mason jars and burlap (I vehemently refused to have any mason jars or burlap). The venue was also perfect for us because once the doors were open it felt like we were outside."
What was your favorite memory from the wedding?
Bride: "Once I got down the aisle and turned my back to everyone, it was just Patrick and I standing in front of the minister looking out over the mountains. It was very peaceful. The most fun memory was during the song Shout, everyone in the wedding got on the dance floor.
Groom: "During the song Shout, we looked around and saw everyone on the dance floor singing and dancing around us. It was so much fun!"
After planning your wedding, what advice do you have for other bride's beginning to plan their own?
"Relax and enjoy the day! Its one of the only times all the people that you and your husband have loved and that have been a part of your lives will be at a big party together. Because of that, no matter what goes wrong, the day will still be a success!"
Enjoy just a few of my favorite frames from their day! Thank you so very much to those who were involved in making their day perfect!:
