Let's talk about being grateful.
Here we are, in the midst of an incredibly special season of giving thanks, of family, of warmth and joy and laughter. I, for one, couldn't possibly communicate in a few words how thankful I am for this life of mine. I have a roof, food, a family who showers me with support and loves me to the very core of my being. I have a career I adore that provides me with daily joy and fulfillment. I have a best friend in my husband, and he cherishes me and believes in me more than I ever knew anyone could. I have the profound lessons I've learned from my beagle puppy, who, looking back, has been with me over the most difficult, soul searching years of my life. In hindsight, I can see that she was with us during that time for such a beautiful reason. She gave me much joy and purpose that God knew I needed over the last 10 or so years of our lives together. He showed me that loving unconditionally and allowing a bond like that to live in me is, indeed, possible. And, she showed me that a love and understanding like that is what the best things in life are made of. I am so, so grateful for that.
I am also so incredibly thankful for those whose lives I can touch in simply pursuing my passion. It's the most profoundly beautiful gift to see and to love people in a way that I can give back to them and help them to fall in love over and over. And, when my passion overlaps with the passion of others, it's a mutual joy that I simply could not be more grateful for.
This is the first holiday season for Curt, Hayley and baby girl Vivienne as a family of three, and I give the most thanks for being able to capture these precious moments for them to celebrate. I've known Curt and Hayley for years, and to be able to link back up with them and to give them this gift lights my heart up.
Enjoy a few frames from my time with this incredibly special family! Love to you all and wishing you the sweetest season of thanksgiving!
